  1. Band Together Athens: a virtual concert series that transpired in late May. 

  2. Terrapin Beer playlists: 11 Spotify lists inspired by Athens brews, from the brewmasters themselves. 

  3. UGA Presents Arts Chats: free discussions with incredible musicians, featuring their home spaces. 

  4. UGA Presents Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center Front Row: nationally and internationally renowned musicians present absolutely free, high quality virtual concert series through the end of the year with Q&A hosted by Wu Han and David Finkel after each performance. 

  5. Curator talks and livestreamed performances: immersive conversations and explorations of art and the people behind it hosted for free by the Georgia Museum of Art in Athens. 

  6. Lyndon House Arts Center #ArtsCenterOnLine: diverse programming, mostly free, from the historic cultural center housed in a restored Greek Revival home from the 1800's.

Cooking, Outdoors, & Yoga

  1. Yoga in the Galleries via Zoom: free Museum of Art-hosted yoga for the beginner and advanced yogi alike. 

  2. Morning Mindfulness via Zoom: a mindfulness instructor guides meditations every other Friday. 

  3. Cocktail classes: Krista and Jerry Slater (of the restaurant "Expat" in Athens) demonstrate cocktail recipes on Instagram. 

  4. Sandy Creek Nature Center animal learnings: nature lessons, snake day, and more go online for free. 

  5. Athens Trails' Trail Talk: free virtual series describes foraging, land stewardship, natural history, and so much more on Facebook Live.
  6. Bear Hollow Zoo nature demonstrations: another free series on Facebook Live introduces viewers to Bear Hollow's native Georgia wildlife.

Explore the Culture

  1. Virtual Museum Tours and Movie Nights: historical and film knowledge abound in free UGA library-hosted virtual collection tours. 

  2. Athens Library trivia and book clubs: open to all, 30-minute trivial and several impressive book club meetings facilitate learning and community online - all for free. 

  3. Athens Creative Theatre, Choir, and Digital Scrip web series: interactive and show-style content from Athens' premiere creative group includes courses, stitched-together choir pieces, and more. 

  4. Virtual tour of the Classic Center: a perusal through a beautiful conference center in downtown Athens, Georgia. 

  5. Self-guided music, historical, African American, Civil War, and other Athens tours: extensive guided walking tours include historical, cultural, and interest landmarks that can be enjoyed both via self-paced walks and from home without making the commute.
